Betty J. Clark, age 85, longtime resident of Angola, passed away on December 21, 2018 at Friends Nursing Home in Sandy Spring, Maryland.
She was born on November 10, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky.
After her marriage and the birth of her first son, she moved to Angola, where Betty spent most of her life.  She raised her two sons there and held several jobs over the years, including those at Electrolux, Maxton Motors, and Brammell, Inc.  She retired in 1995 from Brammell after a long and successful career there.
Betty was a longtime active member in the Angola United Methodist Church.  She was a United Methodist Women’s member and belonged to the Lydia Circle.  An avid reader, she was the church librarian for many years.  Also, although not originally from Indiana, Betty got caught up in Hoosier Hysteria and became an avid basketball fan.
In her later years, Betty suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and in 2014 moved to Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.  Very recently, she had moved to Maryland to be near family.
Surviving are two sons: Craig (Jean) of Gaithersburg, Maryland; and Duane (Julie) of Castle Rock, Colorado; six grandchildren: Phil of Columbia, Maryland; Andrew, Stephen, and Vanessa, of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Samantha (Sam) of Seattle, Washington; and Madison (Madi) of Boulder, Colorado; and two sisters: JoAnn and Sharon of Louisville, Kentucky.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Anthony and Sophie Thomas.
Services will be held on Friday, December 28 at 11:00 at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola.  Visitation will precede at 10:00.  Burial will be at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola.
