Scott A. “Peanut” Haviland, 47, of Angola, Indiana passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on August 26, 1971 in Angola, Indiana to Homer Jr. and Betty J. (Wise) Haviland.
Scott worked at American Axel Manufacturing in Fremont, Indiana and was a member of the #1395 Fremont UAW.
He enjoyed being in the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and cutting wood were among his favorite things to do. Scott was very proud of his truck. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter.
Surviving are his son, Bo (Amber Bastian) Haviland of Orland; brother Gregory (Elizabeth) Haviland of Hudson; sisters Debbie (Brian) Beardsley of St. Charles, Missouri, Roxanne Fisher of Orland and Nichole Willms of Hudson. He was also survived by his granddaughter, McKinley. He was very excited to learn on Christmas this year that he would have another granddaughter in the near future.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Steven Lynn Haviland.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana. Pastor John Boyanowski will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
