Dear Susan and family, We are so sorry for your loss. Thought we dont know each other, you would know my face as I know yours. Jim was my son Thom's T-ball coach and one of the first people we met when moving to Angola some 20 years ago. He did a great job with the kids and made my son, a shy little boy, feel very confident in a new place and it has never been forgotten. We have run into each other over then years and I always reminded him of the difference he made in our local youths lives by being a great coach and mentor (I embarrassed him I think.) Thank you for sharing him with us he will be missed by many. So sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Susan & Tom Miller

Sue, Michelle, Matt: My heart was saddened to hear about Jim. He was a big part of my days for years when we worked at Eagle Picher together, and we became good friends besides just being co-workers. I will always remember Jim for being one of those "larger than life" guys. He knew practically everybody, tried to help friends and family muddle through their problems, he could spread himself pretty thin and still have enough energy to go around. I will always remember him as one of the very important people in my life, and my heart and sympathy are with you all. I pray that God's grace, peace and blessings will sustain you in the days ahead.

The Spangle family, I am extremely sorry about your loss, and I am very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. I was fortunate enough to take care of Jim in the hospital on bone marrow transplant. He was such a kind man and a fighter. I am unable to attend visitation and funeral, but my thoughts and prayers will be with your family during those and in any hard times ahead.

I just learned of Jim's passing. I'm so sorry and my heart is with all of you. Deb, he was the ornery, delightful little brother who stuck his nose into our doings as kids. I will always see him that way. God hold you all in the palm of his hand as Jim now soars on eagle's wings.
