Jack E. Sprague, 79, of Fremont, Indiana died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola, IN. He was the Post Master of Angola Post Office from 1965 to 1992 when he retired. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola, Indiana and was Senior Active in the Angola Rotary Club. He received a Bachelor's of Business Degree from Tri-State University, Angola, IN. Jack was born January 22, 1934 in Pleasant Lake, IN to Russell and Mildred (Elliott) Sprague. He married Suzanne VanMeter on June 28, 1980. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Sprague of Angola, IN; two sons and daughters-in-law; Scott and Kristine Sprague of Fremont, IN; Jon and Aimee Sprague of Bluffton, OH; and his daughter and son-in-law Jodi and Brian Staup of Brownsburg, IN and six grandchildren. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 3, 2013 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola, IN with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Officiating will be The Rev. Angela Shannon. Burial will be in the Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana with Military Honors by the Fremont American Legion. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana. Memorials may be given to the Angola Calvary Lutheran Church or RISE.
