I would like to send my sympathy to Kate's family. I always enjoyed her and her mother doing Christmas at the nursing home every year. That was a special day for everyone. Also the special things she did for me. I will never forget her and her mother. Her mother did a lot of special things for me also. Gone but never forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in your loss of sister and aunt.

Oh Kate! How you loved your animals! You took in our orphaned raccoons and raised them until adulthood. I will never forget how you came to one of my postgraduate classes and gave a presentation for me. I got an A in the class I think because of that. I will always remember how you loved 7 minute frosting and the color white. To the family...you are in my thoughts at this time.

Kate was a really nice lady...she came to our yard sale one time with friends, and they bought up a lot of yarn. They were going to make blankets for vets. That seemed to be the kind of person she was. She also noticed and made some sweet comments about our cat, who was "helping" with the sale. He's gone now, too, so her kind words about him that day are really dear to my heart.

We feel blessed to have known Kate - Keith was a Lion Zone Chairman while Kate served as District Governor. Her zest for life and dedication to service in many roles will not be forgotten - Kate "served" while here on earth. While she will be missed, she is now on the wings of angels and loved!
