She'll always be "Mrs. Lonsbury" to me, because I first came to know her when I was quite young, as a friend of Lonnie's. Always, without fail, she has been so bright, cheerful and upbeat when I've talked with her -- the last time being perhaps a couple of years ago. She was always considerate and respectful, even of people much younger than herself; a great example to everyone and positive influence on the world. Peace and my sympathies to her family.

Aunt Shirley was such a sweet person with a great smile and a laugh that I will never forget. So sorry for your loss Uncle Bill and kids.... as I know how much you all will miss her. Now is her time to be with Bill Jr and her other family members as she waits for us to join her in heaven. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I grew up in Angola as friend and classmate with Bill Jr. with many fond memories of Shirley and Bill Sr. and the Lonsbury family through school, sports, church, and community life. I remember Shirley as a cheerful, generous, and friendly person, and a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. I'm blessed to have known her and the family that she anchored. To Shirley's family - take comfort and joy from your many happy memories, and know that Shirley's goodness and spirit will live on through you.
