Loren E. Jinnings Jr., 83, of Pleasant Lake died Friday, September 4, 2015 at Markle Health & Rehabilitation Ctr.

He was born January 25, 1932 in Edon, Ohio to Dr. Loren E. and Dorothy (Ridenour) Jinnings.  He married Marlene R. Fee on July 7, 1951.

Loren was retired.  He had worked for 22 years at International Harvester, Angola Coach for 8 years and also owned Jinnings Softener Sales for over 30 years.

He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the Angola American Legion Post 31.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola and the UAW Chapter 57 of Fort Wayne.

Surviving are his wife Marlene R. Jinnings of Pleasant Lake; son Alan (Vikki) Jinnings of Bowling Green, Ohio; three daughters April (Mark) Wheeler of Orland, Denise (Robert) Fairchild of Roanoke and Paula (Tom) Martzke of Delta, Ohio; brother Orrin (Pat) Jinnings of Leesburg, Florida; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola with Pastor Daryl Emowery and Pastor Donald E. Meyers officiating.

Military Honors and Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola or to the Steuben County Humane Society.

I will always remember setting and listening to You and My Dad, Larry "RED" Fraley tell stories. You were a great friend to my Dad. God Bless your family at this difficult time.
