Rita S. Adomaitis, 97, of Angola, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born on September 12, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Sam and Sophie (Martusius) Zanauskas.  She married Anthony L. Adomaitis on February 8, 1941.

Rita was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Angola, Indiana.  She was also a member of the St. Casimir Auxiliary and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary both in Chicago, Illinois.

She was a bookkeeper at The John E. Staren Company in Chicago, Illinois.

Rita loved living at Lake James and visiting on the deck with her friends and family.  She enjoyed working on puzzles but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving is her son, Bob (Jeanne) Adomaitis of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and daughter, Adriane (Joe) Willig of Naperville, Illinois.  Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Tony Adomaitis, Sophie Adomaitis and Zack Willig.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 13, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana with Father Bob Showers officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana and from 10-11 AM on Friday, prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana.
