Stephen Otto Linnemeier, 71, of Angola, Indiana with his struggling over, passed away on January 30, 2018 at his home.

Born on April 11, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was the second son of Otto F. and Helen M. (Johnston) Linnemeier.  He married Carrie Lou Teegardin on December 3, 1967.  

Stephen overcame childhood polio to live a most productive life.  He graduated from Angola High School and received a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Tri-State University in Angola.  Then he worked and traveled far and wide with General Motors for 33 years returning to his roots in Angola for retirement.

He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Angola, Indiana.

Surviving is his caring wife of 50 years; two sons Stephen Linnemeier II and his wife Margaret Mitchell of Houston, Texas and Paul Lowell Linnemeier of Sandusky, Ohio; daughter Laurel Jeannine Linnemeier of Old Hickory, Tennessee; brothers William D. Linnemeier and wife Cindy of West Lafayette, Indiana and Gale L. Linnemeier and wife Linda of Fort Wayne, Indiana and “Pister” Ginger Pierre of Angola.  Also surviving are his three grandchildren Sarah Lynne, Quinn Ian and Stephen Otto “Trey” Linnemeier III all of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew David Linnemeier; sister-in-law Linda Linnemeier; niece Nikki Pierre and brother Dale G. Linnemeier.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola Indiana with Pastor Daryl Emowrey officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Monday prior to the service at the Church..

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church General Fund or to Calvary Lutheran Men’s Club Roof Fund.
