Walter E. Stavitzke Jr., 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018.  He was a citizen of Angola, Indiana and a Steuben County Church of Christ member.

Wally was a very kind person and well known as a friendly neighbor, loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was born on July 5, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana to Walter Sr. and Rosalind Stavitzke.

An honest and hard-working man, he learned the wood pattern making trade as a young man, maturing to Engineering in his later years.

Surviving are his wife, Neriman of Angola; son, Bryan (Elizabeth) Stavitzke of Fort Wayne; son Bradley (Crystal) Stavitzke of Angola and granddaughter, Violet Stavitzke of Angola; step-son, Nihat Routsong of Oregon; step- daughter Nejla Routsong of Bloomington and sister Murial Murchek and her family David, Dan, Paulette and Pam all of Hammond, Indiana.

It is Walter’s desire to meet you also, soon in Heaven.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Steuben County Church of Christ, 613 N. Williams Street, Angola, Indiana with Brother Bill Romans.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Saturday prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Steuben County Cancer Association.
