Max Oscar Ainsworth, 84, of Angola passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018.

He was born on September 9, 1934 in Decatur, Indiana to Gaylord and Beulah (Yerkey) Ainsworth.  

Max was a retired union carpenter.

He enjoyed living on Jimmerson Lake.  He was often seen sitting on his swing talking with neighbors and his friends.  Most of all he loved spending time with his grandson Marcus and watching him play basketball and football in high school and football in college.

Max is survived by his daughter Tara Ainsworth of Fort Wayne; two sons, Christopher Ainsworth and Matthew Ainsworth both of Fort Wayne; one grandson, two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren and his long-time friend Cora Anne Kee.  His friendship and laughter will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lois A. Novachcoff and Donnabelle King.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the summer.

To my "name sake"" our channel buddie!! You will be missed sitting on your swing by the channel!! I am so glad that I got to meet you!! I just know somewhere down the line you must have been related to my adoptive Dad Jack D Ainsworth who was also from Indiana (Marion). God bless you Mr. Max!! You will forever be in my heart!! I will always think of you when we boat down the channel and pass your place!! Hugs ,tears and special prayers to your family.
