Edward E. True Sr., 93, of Angola, Indiana and formerly of Muncie, Indiana died on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his home in Angola, Indiana.

He was born on July 9, 1925 in Muncie, Indiana to Manless True and Myrtle (Sluter) True Resler.  

Mr. True was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Muncie and also worked in the mail room and was a parking lot assistant for the First Merchants Bank in Muncie.

Mr. True served his country in the United States Coast Guard and was a WWII veteran.

He was a member of the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Angola.

Surviving are his children, Rev. Edward E. (Beth) True of Lancaster, Ohio, Rev. Gary W. (Debra) True of Angola and Pamela Fowler of East Jordan, Michigan.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Imogene White True and his second wife Lela (Resler) True, daughter Linda K. True Burton and son Michael Lee True.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Angola, Indiana with Pastor Tony Baker officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Burial will take place at a later date in Elm Ridge Memorial Park, Muncie, Indiana.

Memorials may be made in Edward’s memory to the Steuben County Cancer Association.

We are so sorry for your loss. I know your g'pa loved his family dearly, and he knew he was loved as well. He left a wonderful legacy. Wonderful memories to cherish.
