Glen "Lee" Armey, 69, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2019 at his home in Pleasant Lake, Indiana.

He was born on September 30, 1949 in Angola, Indiana to Robert L. and Beverly J. (Walsh) Armey.  He graduated from Angola High School in 1967.  Lee received an Associate Degree in Engineering from Tri-State University and his Bachelor's of Science degree from Purdue University.

Lee married Ann M. Moore on August 16, 1969 and together raised their family in Pleasant Lake, Indiana.  He worked as a mechanical engineer for Shambaugh & Sons in Fort Wayne for 26 years.  He had also worked for Schenkel & Schultz Architects and many other businesses over the years.

He was a member the Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church where he was the Treasurer for several years and also a Sunday School Teacher.  He was a member and Past President of the MSD of Steuben County school board, a member and just recently had been the President of the Pleasant Lake Lions Club and also a member of the Angola Elks Lodge.

Lee liked to tinker around in his garage, mow the lawn and drive around in his mustang.  He enjoyed traveling and playing cards with his wife, family and friends.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.  Lee never knew a stranger and was a friend to all.

Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years, Ann M. Armey of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; two sons, Matthew (Sarah) Armey of Auburn, Indiana and Benjamin (Julie) Armey of Fishers, Indiana; two brothers, Mike (Carlotta) Armey of Edon, Ohio and Rocky (Becky) Armey of New Haven, Indiana; two brother-in-laws, Charles (Sharon) Moore of Pleasant Lake, Indiana and Andrew (Vera) Moore of Dayton, Ohio.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Mia, Katelyn, William and Natalie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tony Gene Armey.

Services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church with Pastor John Boyanowski officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the church prior to the service.

Memorials may be given to the Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church or to the Pleasant Lake Lions Club.

Ann and Family,
I truly enjoyed working with Lee while he was with Schenkel & Shultz. He was a true professional. I remember his smile and laugh that kept "things" going. His character was strong and principles were unwavering.
God Bless you with Comfort and Peace as you celebrate Lee's life. May his memories sustain you until you join him again.

First I wish condolences to everyone in Lee's family. I had the priveledge of working with Lee while at Shambaugh for many years up to his retirement. We will all miss Lee and celebrate his new journey with the Lord.

Lee was a great guy. I think about the times we spent working together and all the projects we completed. He was easy to work with and to be around. I’ve learned a lot from him and will remember him always. You have my heart and my support.

I got to meet Glen back in the early 90's while visiting the Armey family during a weekend trip with my Purdue roommate Matt. I never forgot how nice he was and how he treated me like one of the family. God speed Glen Lee Armey.
