Obituary:
Frederick G. "Fritz" Pentico, 82 of Angola died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home. Mr. Pentico was a truck driver for Ramus Truck Lines and then Gateway Trucking for a total of 40 years. Then he worked on the Indiana Toll Road as a toll collector, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Angola Moose Lodge; American Legion Post 31, Angola; George Anspaugh VFW post 7205; Angola Masonic Lodge 236 and Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was born March 3, 1928, Ann Arbor, Mich. to Orville G. and Nina E. (Buffet) Pentico, who preceded him in death. He married Bonnie Jean Hufnagle on Dec. 23, 1951. She preceded him in death in 1989. Surviving are a son, John E. Pentico of Angola; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet and Jon Weber of Fremont and Linda Pentico of Angola; two brothers, Orville Pentico Jr. of Crocker, Mo., and James Pentico of Hamilton; a sister, Margaret Mills of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his companion, Carol Disbro of Edon, Ohio. Services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, with Pastor Jim Hulbert officiating.
