PLEASANT LAKE William A. "Bill" Goldner, 71, of Pleasant Lake went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on Friday October 22, 2011, after many years of illness. He was born on October 4, 1940 to Charles E. and Alene B. (Jarrett) Goldner in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was a resident of Michigan for 65 years before moving to Indiana six years ago. Bill married Janet May (Gould) Hullinger Goldner on December 19, 1987. Mr. Goldner worked for 37 years at Benton Harbor Engineering in Benton Harbor, Michigan before retiring. He attended Fairview Missionary Church in Angola, Indiana. Bill loved going hunting and fishing. He was a great storyteller. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his wife Janet May Gould Hullinger Goldner of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Todd Yore of Covert, Michigan; Michele and Randy Elder of Marco Island, Florida; one step-son Richard "Kevin" Hullinger of Angola, Indiana; one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Sherrie and Mark Dempsey of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; one brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Betty Goldner of Texas; one sister and brother-in-law Linda and Frank Smith of Watervliet, Michigan; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Immoos Goldner; one son Vincent Goldner and one brother Charles "Chuck" Goldner. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday October 26, 2011 at Fairview Missionary Church with Rev. Norman Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, Indiana.

I will always remember his contagious smile. You couldn't help but smile back. Also how he liked to kid around and pull your leg so to speak, to get a laugh. He will be missed.
