Linda Gowthrop, 57, of Beech Island, SC formerly of Angola, IN, passed away December 2, 2011 in her sister's home in Bryan, OH. Linda was born June 19, 1954 in Fort Eustis, VA to John and Barbara (Burden) Simpson. She married Michael Gowthrop on May 11, 2002. Linda worked at Gas America in Angola. She is survived by her husband Michael Gowthrop of Beech Island, SC; her mother Barb Simpson of Bryan, OH; a son Chad (Maggie Platt) Underwood of Fremont, IN; a sister Kathy (Richard) Wheeler of Bryan, OH; one grandson, Alexander Underwood of Fremont, IN; Nephews Jeremy (Amber Simmons) Wheeler of Bryan, OH, Jon (Amy Noel) Wheeler of Hamilton, IN, great nieces and nephew Adrianna, Sophia, Arden and Mara; one step-daughter Tracy (Robbie) Robinson, 5 step-grandchildren, Taylor, Nik, Shayne, Michael and Alex; and her mother-in-law Bonnie Leugers all of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father John Simpson. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM , Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana. Memorials can be made To the Family c/o Michael Gowthrop or to Community Hospital of Williams County Home Health and Hospice of Bryan, Ohio.
