ANGOLA - James A Gorrell, 47, died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep about dawn on Monday, September 3rd, 2012. He died at his Jimmerson Lake home where he resided with his father, E. Gene Gorrell. Jamie was born at Cameron Hospital in Angola on March 3, 1965. He was the son of E. Gene and Fairy A. (Brown/Gorrell) Wattier. He was preceded in death by his half brother and very best friend, Stacy J. Fisher, and his mother, Fairy (Faye) Wattier. He is survived by his father, a half sister, Jan Dee Johnson of Aurora, Colorado, and her daughter, Alexis; one son, James Adam Gorrell II, of California; and stepsisters and brothers, Cindy, Tommy, and Jennifer; Brent, Tara and Tawny and Ryan; first cousins, Noel and Kevin Snyder; also Kerry, Susan, Patty and Zane of the Elsie Brown Family in Angola; Pam Richardson and the former Gene (Dawson) Gorrell of Hamilton; Sue Ann (Bill Gorrell) Richards of El Paso, Texas; Rick and Todd (Richard) Gorrell of Lake James; also Melissa, Johnny, David, James, and Steven Gorrell of the John Gorrell family of Pleasant Lake; and many other relatives and dear friends. After attending two years at Delta High School near Muncie, Jamie moved to Denver, Colo., where he graduated from high school, then Tech Electronics College with an Associates Degree in 1985. A lover of the outdoors, he spent many years as an exterior-interior painter in Colorado, then another five years in the Angola, area until becoming medically disabled in 2004. Jamie enjoyed working crossword puzzles with his dad, listening to popular music, surfing and chatting on the internet, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, jamming on his guitar and hanging out and chatting with his many friends in the Angola area. He also enjoyed sharing his life stories while living with and helping his aging father. He will be sorely missed by many. Because Jamie requested to be an organ donor, then to be cremated, a memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola. Services will be officiated by his father E. Gene Gorrell with help from several friends.
