Evelyn A. Gottschalk, 91, of Angola, Indiana died Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola. She worked at Wendy's of Angola for 12 years retiring in 2003. She also had worked for Q C Onics Manuafacturing and EMF both of Angola. She was a member of the Home Economics Club and the Orland Lions Club Auxilary. She was born on February 11, 1921 to Samuel Peter and Nora Ethel (Legg) McKenzie in Angola. She married C. Wayne Gottschalk on April 1, 1939. Evelyn is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law Sharon Weiss of Angola, Sonja and Neal Patterson, a foster son Vernice Sawvel, 6 grandchildren Ricky Holiday, Vicki Holiday, Marty Holiday, Marcia Jones, Lori Houlton and Todd Patterson , 8 great-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband C. Wayne Gottschalk on February 3, 1979, brother Howard McKenzie and sister Wava Joyce Look, two grandchildren Tara Arnold and Jeffrey Patterson. Services at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 21, 2012 at the Weicht Funeral Home , Angola with Pastor Glenn Flint officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Tara Arnold Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o The Steuben County Community Foundation.
