Lois M. Nelson, 94, of Fremont, Indiana passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation in Angola.
She was born October 8, 1920 in Pleasant Lake to Ralph and Bessie (Aldrich) Freed.
Lois married Harold Nelson on June 1, 1938 in Angola.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Lois was a homemaker, Sunday School teacher, youth leader and a member of Fairview Missionary Church, Angola.
Surviving are her daughters Sonja Foster of Elkhart and Connie Moeller of Fremont; a sister Janean Putman of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren Hope (Ray) Collins of Goshen, Dana (Mike) Vetter of Ashley, Rebecca (Clarence) Walsh of Edgerton, Ohio, William (Melissa) Foster of El Segundo, California, Tim Barry of Fremont, Jodi (Doug) Louth of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Trina (Remish) Khadoo of Martinez, California and Daniel (Tracey) Foster of Fremont; 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Nelson on August 30, 1997; two sisters Phyllis Pendergrass and Joyce Grabe Rafsnider and son-in-law William Foster.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola with Rev. Norman Fuller officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2015 and 10-11 AM, Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
Memorials may be made in Lois’s memory to the Fairview Missionary Church or to Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Angola.
