ANGOLA

Barbara Ann German, 80, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, surrounded by her family at her home in Angola, Indiana.

She was born January 3, 1936 in Rural LaGrange County, Indiana to Roy and Pearl (Koepkey) Reed.  She married Richard G. German on June 21, 1954.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She liked to work in her garden, cook and bake.  She enjoyed working on the family farm where she had lived 52 years.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She attended  Flint Methodist Church and a past member of the Jackson Twp. Home Economics Club.

Surviving is her husband, Richard G. German of Angola; two daughters, Catherine (Jeff) LaRowe of Waterloo and Denise (Gary) Presley of Hamilton; brother, LeRoy Reed of Winter Haven Florida; sister, Donna (Rich) Connell of Lincoln, California.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Troy (Lee Ann) Blanchard, Charrise (John) Lothamer and Matthew Presley and 7 great-grandchildren, Zachary Blanchard, Isaac Blanchard, Hope Blanchard, Nathan Lothamer, Paige Lothamer, Dominique Lothamer and Patrick Lothamer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gloria Wetherell.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana, with Pastor John Cohrs officiating.  

Burial will be in Flint Cemetery, Flint, Steuben County, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.

Memorials in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Flint Cemetery.

Denise & Cathy,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. I have a lot of fun memories growing up and spending time at your farm. Your mom always made us feel at home even when we woke her up in the middle of the night with one of our slumber parties. Now Jesus is taking care of her for you.
