ANGOLA

Demaris “Dee” Jean Groshon, 73, passed away unexpectedly June 10, 2017 in Angola. She was a lifelong resident of Steuben County.

Dee was a member of the Fremont High School Class of 1962 and later graduated from Stautzenberger College.

She retired from Moore Business Forms/R.R. Donnelley after 47 years of dedicated service.

She was a member of Women of the Moose, Angola IN Chapter 266 since 1993.

She was a quiet, kind person who valued family and friends and enjoyed relaxing at home pursuing various hobbies including reading, needlepoint and jigsaw puzzles.

Dee was born February 7, 1944 to Myrl and Maxine (Roberts) Myers who predeceased her.

She is survived by two children: Laura (John) Taylor of Angola and David Groshon of Angola; four grandchildren: Kasandra, Kiara, Spencer and Sydnie and three siblings: Jim (Jo) Myers of Leesburg, FL, Phyllis Joyce of Queen Valley, AZ and Carol (Kenny) Brost of Angola.

Calling will be from 4pm-8pm, Thursday, June 15. Services will be at 11am, Friday, June 16. Both will be held at Weicht Funeral Home, 207 N West St, Angola.

Eventually interment will be at Old Fremont Cemetery, Fremont.

Memorials are asked to be made to the Steuben County Cancer Association.

LAURA AND DAVID I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS !! NOT SURE IF DAVID REMEMBERS ME BUT LAURA, KAREN AND I WERE LIKE THE 3 MUSKETEERS !! YOUR MOM WAS A VERY LOVING AND SWEET WOMAN. SHE WAS LIKE A 2ND MOM AND DAVID YOU WERE LIKE A LITTLE BROTHER. LOVED LIVING JUST DOWN THE ROAD AND ALL THE FUN WE HAD HANGING OUT AT EACH OTHERS HOUSES. DEE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!!
