Marian A. Opdycke, 90, of Angola, Indiana died on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana.
She had been an account representative for GTE in Fort Wayne and had owned Famous Recipe Chicken of Angola, Indiana.
Ms. Opdycke was born on November 16, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Gene and Audrey (Wasson) Coles.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Angola, Indiana. She had been president and founder of the Red Hat Society in Pleasant Lake, Indiana and a member of Gideon International of Steuben County.
Surviving is her son, Randy (Karen) Mills, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; daughter, Jean Sponhower of Auburn, Indiana and step-son, Dean (Elizabeth) Opdycke of Fremont, Indiana; sister, Florine Paff of Leo, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald J. Opdycke and her sister Helen Crothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.
Burial will be in Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Friday, September 28, 2018 prior to the service at the funeral.
