Barbara Ann (Stafford) Amburgey, 65, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away suddenly May 15, 2024, in Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola, Indiana.
Barbara was born on January 11, 1959, in Angola, Indiana to Leonard J. Sr. and Genevieve M. (Otis) Stafford. She graduated from Prairie Heights High School in 1977.
Barbara married the love of her life, Phillip R. Amburgey Sr. on May 8, 1993.
She enjoyed taking pictures, collecting bears and collecting Precious Moments. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She worked at EMF in Angola, Indiana. After retiring she worked at Electric Tech in Angola, Indiana.
Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Phillip R. Amburgey Sr. of Fremont, Indiana; sons, Michael Stafford of Hudson, Indiana and Phillip (Samantha Baker) Amburgey Jr. of Garrett, Indiana; daughter, Kathy Jo (Robert Miller) Amburgey of Angola, Indiana; four beloved grandchildren, Jordan Jackson, Abbygayl Amburgey, Avery Amburgey and McKenna Amburgey. Also surviving are her siblings, Leonard (Adele) Stafford Jr. of Ohio, Laura (Rory) Steele of Tennessee, Bill Stafford of Indiana and Brenda (Steve) Hoyt of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bruce Stafford and nieces, Marcie Nartker and Crystal Nicholson.
Visitation will be from 3-5 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be at 5 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the funeral home with Michael Booher, Minister officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Phillip Amburgey.
