Barbara Ann (Schalk) Cleverly

Barbara Ann Cleverly, 66, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at her home.

Barbara was born on December 27, 1958, in Angola, Indiana.  She was the daughter of George Louis and Laura “Ny” Nytella (Dunham) Schalk.  She graduated from Angola High School in 1977.

Barbara married Steven D. Cleverly on October 21, 1996, in Sevierville, Tennessee.

She was the office manager at Millers Merry Manor in Garrett, Indiana before retiring in 2023.

Barbara was the Richland Township Trustee in Steuben County for many years.

She enjoyed watching television, doing crafts and traveling to any place with warm weather and beaches, Florida was one of her favorite places to vacation.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband of 29 years, Steven D. Cleverly of Angola, Indiana; stepdaughter, Jasmine Cleverly of South Bend, Indiana; brother, Mitchel Lewis of New York, New York and her two beloved grandchildren, Grayson Wilson and Payton Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepdaughter, April Cleverly.

Following Barbara’s wishes there will be no services.
