Benson "Ben" K. Penick

Benson “Ben” K. Penick, 86, of Orland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Cameron Health in Angola Indiana.

Ben was born on October 6, 1939, in Orland, Indiana to A.J. Penick and Merry (Sperry) Penick Rowdabaugh.  He graduated from Orland High School in 1958.

Ben worked on the Indiana Toll Road for 31 years before retiring.

He married Judy C. Fisher on March 14, 1970.

Ben enjoyed cutting wood, farming and raising pigs.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Judy C. Penick of Orland, Indiana; daughters, Barbara (Tony) Bratt of Columbia City, Indiana, Julie Wooten of Orland, Indiana, Lornie (Randy Crawford0 Danning of Angola, Indiana and Vicki (Bob) Baumgartner of Orland, Indiana.  Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his brother, Terry Wayne (Deb) Penick of Orland, Indiana and nephew, Heath Penick of Orland, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenny Joe Penick.

Private Graveside Services will be held.

Final resting place will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
