Betty Joyce (Petter) Moore

Betty Joyce Moore, 86, of Pleasant Lake passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Canterbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was an Avon Representative for 10 years, worked at several manufacturing companies and had been a Home Health Care worker.

Betty was born March 30, 1928 in Ellsworth, Michigan to William and Blanche (Smith) Petter.  

She was a member of the Holy Family Episcopal Church in Angola and was a member of the Episcopal Church Women.

She is survived by her daughters Deborah Somerville of St. Louis, Missouri, Valerie Wilcox of Angola, Indiana and Pamela “Penny” (Dan) Sholl of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; three brothers William (Joyce) Petter of South Haven, Michigan, Harold Petter of Traverse City, Michigan and Ed (Joyce) Petter of Ellsworth, Michigan; three sisters Marilyn Coakley of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Linda Wetzel of Soldotna, Alaska and Susan Petter of Kingsley, Michigan; five grandchildren Vanessa (Brad) Anderson, Jesse (Liz) Sholl, Carrie (A.J.) Wilson, Abby (Jake) Shull and Kalie Somerville; 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Shirley Petrie.

Memorial service will be at 12:00 Noon, Saturday April 11, 2015 with The Reverand Michael Fulk officiating.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Saturday prior to the service at the church.

Memorials in Betty’s memory may be made to the Holy Family Episcopal Church in Angola, Indiana.
