Brenda Lee Saylor, 84, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana.
Brenda was born on March 7, 1941, in Angola, Indiana to Walter G. “Smitty” and Carolyn Erma (German) Smith.
Brenda met Levi “Lee” Saylor in 1958 over her brother’s guitar, they married on January 28, 1961.
She worked at Dana in Angola, Indiana before retiring.
Brenda was a member of the Women of the Moose of the Angola Moose Lodge.
She enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing Bingo, listening to music and going out to eat and margaritas at her favorite restaurant, Acapulco Grill. But most of all she loved her family.
Surviving are her son, Jeffery Lee (Laura) Saylor of Angola, Indiana; daughters, Sarah Anne (Doug} Traster of High Point, North Carolina, Mary E. (Guss) Moberg of Angola, Indiana and Marie E. (Scott Houtz) Sherman of Coldwater, Michigan and four grandchildren, Charlie Lee Saylor, Elizabeth “Libby” (CJ) Kilgus, Scott Michael (Amanda) Moberg and Autumn Nicole (Josh Poley) Sherman and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Margo Urgitus of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Helyn Smith; husband, Levi “Lee” Saylor on August 16, 2020; four brothers and one sister.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
