Charles Means Obituary

Charles Eugene Means, 78, died October 7, 2013 at his home in Angola, Indiana. He worked as an Engineer for ARO, formerly known as Ingersoll-Rand, retiring after 33 ½ years of service. He attended Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, Indiana. He had served in the Ohio National Guard and was a member of the Orland American Legion. Charles was born on November 2, 1934 in Pioneer, Ohio to Eugene F. and Fern S. (Shaffer) Means. He married Hariet Eldora Stahler on June 25, 1955. He is survived by his wife Hariet E. Means of Angola, Indiana; four sons and daughters-in-law James F. and Rebecca Means of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Phillip H. and Cynthia Means of Winchester, California; Robert J. and Soeng Means of Land O' Lakes, Florida; Joseph E. and Cindy Means of Angola, Indiana; two daughters and sons-in-law Cynthia Ann and Scott Richardson of Berrien Springs, Michigan; Susan Ellen and Alan Dieringer of Wylie, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 11, 2013 at Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, Indiana with Rev. Norman Fuller officiating. Military Graveside Services by the Orland American Legion and Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Fairview Missionary Church. Memorials may be given to Fairview Missionary Church or the Steuben County Cancer Association.
