Curtis C. Ankney

Curtis C. Ankney, 70, of Angola, Indiana, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born on March 24, 1953, in Antwerp, Ohio to Murl and Betty (Curtis) Ankney.

Curtis had worked for Vernon Waite Construction and then later on retired in 2007 from Winebrenner Log Homes, Albion, Indiana.

He married D. Jeannine Shaskey on September 24, 1994.

Surviving are his son, Joshua (Michelle) Ankney of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; stepson, Richard (Toni Clark) Grayson Jr. of Angola, Indiana; stepdaughters, Michelle (Chad) Rodesiler of Angola, Indiana and Shannon (Dan) Bush of Angola, Indiana; 9 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother Douglas Ankney of Virginia; sister, Linda (Joe) Mercer of Bowling Green, Kentucky and his companion, Debra Wisner of Angola, Indiana. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, D. Jeannine Ankney on June 12, 2007, and three brothers, Jessie Ankney, Larry Ankney and Roger Ankney.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.  Keith Parsons will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 11-12 Noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be immediately after the services in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
