Dale Appleman

Dale Appleman, 83, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully after a short battle with esophageal cancer on June 27, 2023, at Northern Lakes Nursing Home in Angola, Indiana.

Dale was born on April 25, 1940, in Kendallville, Indiana to Harold and Evelyn (Fisher) Appleman.  He graduated from High School in Kendallville, Indiana. 

Dale married the love of his life, Karen Gecowets on October 16, 1966, in the Angola United Methodist Church.

He was the manager of the A&P Grocery Store in Angola, Indiana for many years.  After the store closed, he worked on the Indiana Toll Road where he retired from.

Dale was proud to serve his country in the Army National Guard.

Surviving are his children, Cindy (Branden) Morris of Breman, Indiana and David Appleman of Memphis, Tennessee.  Also surviving are his 3 beloved grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Appleman.

Dale’s wishes were to be cremated and have no services.
