Delores "Dee" R. (Wolf) Martin

Delores “Dee” R. Martin, 102, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Born April 14, 1924, in Avilla, Indiana, she was the daughter of the Late Walter and Ruth (Gillian) Wolf.

Delores graduated from Avilla High School in 1942 and was the Valedictorian of the class.

She married William Martin on February 9, 1943, in Avilla, Indiana.  He preceded her in death on October 30, 1992.

Delores had worked as a secretary for the Athletic Department at Tri-State College and later at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana.

Bowling was her hobby.  She bowled for many years in the women’s and senior leagues.  She also bowled in many local, state and national tournaments.  She was inducted into the Steuben County Bowling Hall of Fame in April 2015 at the age of 91 and she continued to bowl until 2020 at the age of 96.

Surviving are her two daughters, Gail Bundy of Angola, Indiana and Deb (Skip) Knauer of Angola, Indiana; her beloved grandchildren, Tracy (Alan) Coler, Clint (Kellie) Knauer, Amanda (Jonah) Crismor, Greg (Fiancée, Jen Noffsinger) Knauer and granddaughter-in-law, Cassie Derbyshire.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Martin, stepmother, son-in-law; grandson, Cory Derbyshire; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services will be 12 Noon, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana with Pastor Jeffrey Corder officiating.

Visitation will be from 11-12 Noon, Friday, July 10, 2026, prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Clear Lake Lutheran Chapel Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
