Don Edward Ireland

Don Edward Ireland, 85, went to be with the Lord September 26, 2014 at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital of Angola, Indiana.

Don had been a lifelong dairy farmer for 33 years on the family farm near Clear Lake and then was a water plant operator in Fremont, IN for 10 years.
He was a member of Fairview Missionary Church, Angola, Indiana.  Don graduated as Valedictorian and class president from Fremont High School in 1947.  He served two terms on the Fremont High School Board.  

He was on the Farm Bureau Board of directors and Clear Lake Board of Trustees.  He was a member of the Magic Square Dance Club and the Alpha Beta Farmers Club.

He was born August 14, 1929 in Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana to Russell Edwin and Phyllis Verl (Housman) Ireland.  He married Mildred Frank on September 27, 1953.

Don is survived by his wife Mildred Ireland of Angola, Indiana; two sons Wesley James Ireland of Angola, Indiana and William Frank Ireland of Fremont, Indiana; two daughters Kay Lorraine ( George) Hirsch of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Kristie Ann ( Kim) Krebs of Coldwater, Michigan; one brother Fredrick Lee Ireland; 3 grandchildren: Chandra Hirsch (Steve) Lubbehusen; Brandon (Katie) Hirsch; and Erin Hirsch. and 6 great-grandchildren: Samuel, Emma and Seth Lubbehusen;
Brody and Grant Hirsch and Josiah Hirsch.

Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Oct 1, 2014 at Fairview Missionary Church,  525 E. 200 N., Angola, In.  Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 at the church.  Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to Fairview Missionary Church.
