Donelda "Donnie" L. (Elliott) Hantz

Donelda “Donnie” L. Hantz, 89, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola, Indiana.

Donnie was born on September 19, 1935, in Fayette, Ohio to Howard Elliott and Avis (Brink) Elliott Schumate.

She married Ronald “Mike” Hantz on October 8, 1976.

Donnie worked in the Steuben County Assessor's Office for 41 years before retiring.  She was the York Township Trustee in Steuben County for 25 years and drove school bus for the MSD of Steuben County for 12 years.

Donnie was a member of the Zion Missionary Church in Fremont, Indiana and a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children, Todd (Karma) Austin of Fremont, Indiana, Viki (Terry) Anderson of Angola, Indiana, Sandy Austin of Fremont, Indiana and Annette “Sue” Austin of Angola, Indiana along with her 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald “Mike” Hantz on June 8, 2019; son, Tom Austin and siblings, Barbara Clark and Robert Elliott.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.  Pastor Jon Bruney will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Monday, December 30, 2024, at the funeral home prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Zion Missionary Church, Fremont, Indiana.
