Doshie (Hurt) Everidge

Doshie Everidge, 93, of Gregory, Michigan, formerly of Angola, Indiana, passed from this world to a heavenly home on September 19, 2017.

She was born March 28, 1924 in Yerkes, Kentucky to George and Susan Alice (Combs) Hurt.  They preceded her in death.  She grew up in and around Hazard, Kentucky.  She married John Shepherd in Happy, Kentucky in 1939.  He passed away in 1954.  She then married Paul Everidge in Angola, Indiana in 1955.  He passed away in 1987.

She was a present member of the Church of Christ in Stockbridge, Michigan and a former member of the Steuben County Church of Christ, Angola, LaGrange Church of Christ of Indiana and the Coldwater Church of Christ in Michigan.

Surviving are her two sons, Lee (Connie) Shepherd of Bolivia, North Carolina, Earnest Everidge of Angola; four daughters, Sue (Bob) Morgan of Angola, Connie (Dan) Davison of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Johnny Christensen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Paula (Neil) Hesselsweet of Gregory, Michigan.  She also is survived by 22 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 33 great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her son, Gene Shepherd, one grandson, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Cora Hurt, Clara Begley and Liza Miller and five brothers, Woodson, Johnny, Logan, Elhannon and Earshel Hurt.

She lived a long and happy life, experienced many adventures, loved and was loved by many.  She will be missed.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Indiana.

Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 4-7 on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Weicht Funeral Home and from 10-11 AM on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials in Doshie’s memory may be made to the Hospice of you choice.
