Douglas Bryan Swegles

Douglas Bryan Swegles, 67, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, with his family by his side at his home.

Douglas was born on March 6, 1957, in Coldwater, Michigan.  He graduated from Riverview School in East Sandwich, Massachusetts. 

He was a welder and retired from AZZ in Hamilton, Indiana in 2012. 

Douglas married the love of his life, Connie L. Pocock Collins, on September 6, 1995.

He loved to laugh and make people laugh.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, watching television and movies.  He was often found tinkering and fixing things around the house or working on automobiles.  He also found pleasure in heckling spam callers on the phone.

Surviving are his loving wife of 29 years, Connie L. Swegles of Angola, Indiana; children, Tony Swegles of Angola, Indiana, Melinda Swegles of Vicksburg, Michigan and Cheri Bischoff of Battle Creek, Michigan; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and several siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of life will be 12:00 Noon on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Marshall Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1115 Verona Road, Marshall, Michigan 49068.
