Eleanore D. (Wells) Jefferson

Eleanore D. Jefferson, 88, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at her home.

Eleanore was born on September 27, 1935, in Orland, Indiana to Elmo and Opal (Hall) Wells.  She graduated from Orland High School in 1955.

She married the love of her life, Larry Jefferson, on September 29, 2001.

Eleanore retired from Bob Evans in Daytona, Florida. 

She enjoyed doing ceramics, working on puzzles, watching game shows and collecting Coca Cola memorabilia.  Elenore loved traveling with her husband.

Surviving are her loving husband of 22 years, Larry Jefferson of Angola, Indiana; her children, David Langford of Indiana, Penny (Mike) Blackburn of Indiana, Julie Schiltz of Indiana, Linda (Mike) Aldrich of Indiana, Greg (Pamula) Hansen of Florida, Vaughn (Janice) Hansen of Alabama and Jean Greeno of Indiana; 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are his sister, Beverly (James) Carter of Florida and sister-in-law, Arlene Wells of Orland, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Wayne Wells and sister, Helen Wells.

Funeral Services will be 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana with Rev. Kenneth Zortman officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Final resting place will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
