Esther Lorene (Leas) Pairan

Esther Lorene Pairan, 93, of Orland, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 20, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Esther was born on October 4, 1930, in Stroh, Indiana to Clifton and Sarah (Wilson) Leas.

Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She married Archie Pairan on August 14, 1971.

Esther’s faith was very important to her and she was a member of the Orland Methodist Church in Orland, Indiana.

She enjoyed going to the Mackinaw Bridge, doing puzzles, crosswords and word searches.  Most of all she loved hosting family get-togethers and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Eugene (Lana) Pfefferkorn of Auburn, Indiana, Robert (Connie) Pfefferkorn of LaGrange, Indiana, Thomas Pfefferkorn of Waterloo, Indiana, Mary (Randy) O’Dell of Glendale, Arizona and Barbara (Adam) Wagers of Plymouth, Indiana.  Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Steve Pfefferkorn and Donald Pfefferkorn and daughter, Rose Marie Pfefferkorn; two sisters and one brother.

Graveside services are 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 with Rev. Donna Holcomb and Lay Pastor Melissa Pierce officiating.
