Evelyn Sue Anderson, 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
Evelyn was born on December 2, 1947, in Orland Park, Illinois to Robert David and Meta Faye (Sowers) Nickle.
She worked at Ingersol Rand before retiring.
Evelyn was a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31 Women’s Auxiliary.
Surviving are her son, Shayne Anderson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughters, Shirley (Robert) Butler of Bryan, Ohio, Sherry (Bret) George of Angola, Indiana, Amber Titus of Churubusco, Indiana and step-daughter, Shelley Schneeburger of Medina, Tennessee; and 5 beloved grandchildren, Andrew Farris, Jade Titus, Jasmine Anderson, Shayla Anderson and Camila Anderson. Also surviving is her brother, Ronald (Sharon) Nickle of Montpelier, Ohio and her sister, Deloris Emery of Livonia, Michigan.
She was preceded by her parents, her husband, David Anderson and brothers, Jerry Nickle, Bobby Nickle, Don Knop, Louie Knop and Sonny Knop.
A Celebration of Life will be from Noon to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Angola American Legion Post 31 1760 W. Maumee Street, Angola, IN 46703.
Final resting place will be in Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Angola American Legion Post 31.
