George Dale Ireland

George Dale Ireland, 88 of Angola died Saturday, February 4, 2012 in the VA Northern Indiana Health Care of Marion. He was a US Air Force Veteran retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of service. He also had worked at Angola Wire Products and owned and operated his own farm. He was a member of the Angola American Legion Post 31. He was born April 1, 1923 to Cecil Ireland and Ruth (Stout) Ireland Rogers in Angola. He married Kiyoko Nagai in 1961. George is survived by his wife Kiyoko Ireland of Angola; three daughters and sons-in-law Cathy and Mike Bell of New Haven, Sylvia and John Hicks of Athens, AL, Ruth and Doug Jean of Indianapolis; one half brother Milton and Sandy Rogers of Texas and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Military graveside services will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday February 11, 2012 in Circle Hill Cemetery with Pastor Brian Marcoulier officiating. Military services will be conducted by the Angola American Legion Post 31. Memorials may be made to the Steuben County Humane Society.
