George Thomas Mansfield, 74, of Angola died Friday, March 26, 2010 in Cameron Memorial Hospital, Angola. He was owner of Mansfield Engineering in Angola. Mr. Mansfield was a member of the Angola Community Church of the Nazarene and a 50-year member of the Angola Masonic Lodge. On Oct. 25, 1935, he was born in Muncie, Ind., to Charles and Mary Emily (Durst) Mansfield. He married Janice Ellen (Rex) Mansfield in Angola on Feb. 7, 1986. She survives in Angola. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Martin Thomas and Susan Mansfield, Knoxville, Tenn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jana and Stan Peterson,Tremonton, Utah, and Mary Emily and Shane Decker, Bargersville, Ind.; three step-daughters, Cynthia Lu Sigrist, Demott, Ind., Diana Sue (Jeff) Massucci, Fort Wayne, and Mary Karen (Greg) Weber, LaGrange; 14 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A brother, Steven Mansfield, and his parents preceded him in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Angola Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Randy Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Powers Cemetery in Steuben County. Calling will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Weicht Funeral Home, Angola. Memorials are to the Angola Church of the Nazarene in Angola.
