Ginny Cheryl Elston, 70, of Angola, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home.
Ginny was born on November 25, 1954, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Donald Richard and Margeruite Jean (Wageman) Rapp. She married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Elston on July 20, 1988.
Ginny had worked at Vestil Mfg. and at Northern Lakes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Angola, Indiana before retiring.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Angola, Indiana. Here faith was a big part of her life. She was baptized on May 20, 2007. Ginny always helped at the church wherever and whenever she was needed.
She enjoyed sewing, going to church and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Surviving are her sons, Todd Joseph Hinen and Chad Michael Hinen both of Angola, Indiana; her stepchildren, Jim Elston, Connie Elston Sholl, Julie Elston Slate, Cheri Elston King and Bill Elston; grandchildren, Cereas (Charles) Kayser. Sage Hinen, Trey Resor; extended Grandchildren, Tre O'Bran, Ashton Morgan, Peyton Patino, Austin Post, Devin Post; step-grandchildren, Holley Perkins, Justin Elston, Dillion Slate, Ian Slate, Rob High, James Roark, Misty Spicer, Amanda Griffith, Ryan Day, Meagan Toop, Skyler King, Cody Sholl, and Zadrien Elston; great-grandchildren, Dalayni, Maddisyn, Delylah and Charlie and many step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Elson on March 10, 2022; stepdaughter, Shelley Elston and siblings, Patti Mosel, Abby Ott and Jim Rapp.
Private Graveside Services we be held at a later date at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola, Indiana.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday March 22, 2025, at Faith Baptist Church in Angola, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 1030-11 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 prior to the service at the church.
