Harry “Fred” Dirrim Jr., 77, of Hamilton, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his son’s home in Kendallville, Indiana.
Fred was born on October 9, 1947, in Hamilton, Indiana, to Harry F. Sr. and Celestia A. (Hanes) Dirrim. He graduated from Hamilton High School.
Harry married the love of his life, Terry Ann Wilson, on August 24, 1974.
He retired from Ingersoll Rand.
Harry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Terry Ann Dirrim of Hamilton, Indiana; son, Brian (Jennifer) Dirrim of Kendallville, Indiana; son-in-law, Joshua Ankney of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; 6 beloved grandchildren, Isaac Lucian (Sara) Dirrim of Angola, Indiana, Trinity Alyssa (Bert Figueroa) Dirrim of Angola, Indiana, Luke William Dirrim of Angola, Indiana, Elizabeth “Libby” May Ankney of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, Noah Clinton Ankney of Pleasant Lake, Indiana and Stella Marie Ankney of Pleasant Lake, Indiana and three precious great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Alejandro and Enzo. Also surviving are his four sisters, Valta Doyle of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Wilma Kyle of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Linda Snuffer of Portland, Oregon and Maida Kreischer of Hamilton, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Michelle L. Ankney on February 5, 2025, and twin sister, Charlotte Dirrim.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Weicht Funeral Home in Angola, Indiana. Pastor Mike Hamm will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
The Committal and burial will be immediately following the services at Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton, Indiana.
Memorial donations may be made to the Stroh Church of Christ or to the family in care of Terry Dirrim.
