Henry “Hank” Ludwig Caso, Jr., 88, of Angola, Indiana, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
He was born on March 28, 1934, to Henry L. Caso Sr. and Luella (Maxwell) Caso in Camden, New Jersey. Hank was affectionately known as “Sonny” by his family.
He married Janice Maurine Johnson on snowy May 20, 1961, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They were married for 61 years and had five children and five grandchildren.
Hank served in the United States Air Force for four years. He graduated from Indiana Tech in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. His career started in Cambridge, OH working at RCA. He then moved to Kokomo, IN and worked for Delco Electronics and later was employed as an electrical engineer at Magnavox Electronics in Fort Wayne, IN until his retirement at age 55.
Hank liked to play golf, tennis and league softball, where his family cheered him on at bat with, “Go Caso!”. He enjoyed retirement on the lake with his wife, kids and grandkids, including fishing, gardening, Chris Craft rides and sailing. He appreciated the spectacular view of the lake from their home every day.
Surviving are his wife, Janice M. Caso, his five children, Jeffrey Caso (Emily), Carrie Caso Lehmkuhler (Dean), Julie Ratliff (Tim), Kimberly Caso, Terry Caso (Juvilee), his brother Leonard Caso (Carol), his sister Ida Mae Dziengowski, and his 4 grandchildren, Alek Lehmkuhler, Arlie Lehmkuhler, Demi Lehmkuhler, and Grayson Caso.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ludwig Caso Sr. and Luella (Maxwell) Caso, his sister, Betty K. Jacquot, his brother-in-law, Phillipe A. Jacquot, Sr., his brother-in-law, Frank Dziengowski, Sr., and his grandson, Kete Henry Lehmkuhler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a future date.
