James M. Dickson

James Morris Dickson, 56, of Angola, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his home.

James (Jimmy) was born on March 11, 1969, in Emmaus, Pennsylvania to Thomas G. and Ann L. (Morris) Dickson.  He graduated from Snider High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1987.  He attended Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne, where he earned his degree as an Automotive Service Technician.  He was also a Certified Master Mechanic.  Jimmy was known for his mechanical aptitude and outstanding troubleshooting skills.

Jimmy was a member of the Local Teamster’s Union #414.

Jim excelled at the game of golf and loved challenging his friends and family to a round at the course.  He especially enjoyed a good laugh after winning the round.

Jimmy spent several memorable summers at the Boundary Waters of Northern Minnesota, pursuing his favorite hobbies of camping, fishing, and canoeing.

More than anything, James loved his wife and children.  Spending time with them enriched his soul and made his life complete.  They truly meant the world to him.

Surviving are his father, Thomas G. Dickson of Angola, Indiana, his wife, Mary Dickson of Angola, Indiana and children, Maggie Dickson and J.D. Dickson.  Also surviving is his sister, Lucy (Thomas) Cox of Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann L. Dickson in 2018.

Memorial services 11:30AM, Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Chapel of the Lakes, 2955 W. Orland Road, Angola, Indiana 46703.

Visitation will be from 11-11:30 AM, Friday, July 11, 2025, prior to the service at the church.
