James Robert Lagemann

James Robert Lagemann, 86, of Hudson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at his son’s home in Ashley, Indiana.

James was born on July 7, 1938, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Robert William and Martha (Abbott) Lagemann.  He graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne and completed Cosmetology School.

James owned and operated Mr. James Boutique for many years in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  After he sold his shop, James kept busy with a couple other jobs before retiring in 2003.

He married Linda Lee Rice on July 28, 1983.

James was a member of the Stroh Church of Christ in Hudson, Indiana.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his children, Lance Lee (Monica) Lagemann of LaGrange, Indiana, Troy James (Angela) Lagemann of Ashley, Indiana, Shane Allen Lagemann of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Robert Garrison (Erica) Lagemann of Columbia City, Indiana; his 12 beloved grandchildren and 6 precious great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is his sister, Deborah Morrical of Huntertown, Indiana and his fur baby, Poppy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Lee Lagemann on February 22, 2024; brother, Jerry Lagemann and sister, Nancy Wilson.

Memorial Services will be at 12 Noon, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Stroh Church of Christ in Hudson, Indiana with Minister Mike Hamm officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, prior to the service at the church.
