James D. McKee, 82, died May 28, 2015 at his home in Pleasant Lake, Indiana.
He was a self-employed contractor and had also worked at Metal Spinners in Angola, Indiana.
He was born August 14, 1932 in Richmond, Ohio to James Arco and Leota (Brannan) McKee.
James married Joyce Frever on August 27, 2004.
Surviving are his wife Joyce McKee of Pleasant Lake; sons James McKee of Montana, Christopher Nicholson of California and Gregory Cook of South Bend; daughters Dee Beam and Terry King of Florida, Susan Cooper of Georgia, Jane Vandergrift of Missouri, Lori Williams of Michigan and JoEllen Presley of Angola; a sister Ruth Glover of Richmond, Ohio and 29 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Sam Nicholson, a step-son Michael Guernsey and 7 brothers and sisters.
Memorials services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor John Boyanowski will be officiating.
Burial will be in Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana.
Memorials in James’s memory may be made to the Steuben County Humane Society.
