James Schellenberger

James L. Schellenberger, 91, of Lake George, Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at his home.

James was born October 1, 1932, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Ermine and Minola (Braun) Schellenberger.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan Tech.

James was proud to be a United States Navy Veteran.

He was a Civil Engineer.

James was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont, Indiana.

He enjoyed gardening and working on his farm.

James is survived by his daughters, Anne (Rick) Norris of Angola, Indiana and Cheryl (Dan) Mason Uganda, Africa.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Matthew Mason, Adam Mason, Melissa Frisby, Jessica (Tanner) Hile, Elizabeth Norris, Alexis (Mathew) Forbes and Elijah (Alora) Norris and one great-grandson, Parker Forbes.

He was preceded by his wives, Margaret (Weinert) Schellenberger, Mary (Haab) Schellenberger and Esther (Wilson) Schellenberger.

Private family services will be held.
