Jeffery “Jeff” Gene German 71, of Flint, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home.
Jeff was born on September 22, 1954, to Lloyd and Paula (Albright) German. He graduated from Prairie Heights High School in 1973.
He married Pamela “Pam” Newbauer on February 5, 1977.
He worked for Tenneco Automotive for 43 years and retired from there in 2018.
Jeff was an avid NASCAR fan, and he loved attending races at MIS and Bristol motor speedway, especially when Tony Stewart was racing. He loved his Jack Russel’s, and over the years Jeff had many different hobbies. He liked to hunt, golf, and being involved in 4H. He always looked forward to fair week in hopes to sweep the competition in the sheep barn. He loved having parties down at the campground on the river, and we must not forget how much he enjoyed stopping at local taverns to have a cold Busch Light to talk with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Pamela German; Children, Travis (Heather) German, Yancy German, Lucas (Jessica) German; Grandchildren, Allison (Zachary) VanDusen, Austin German, Vivian German, Harper German, Hadley German; 3 great-grandsons; his brother, Terry (Cyndy) German; sisters-in law, Nancy Wall, Linda (Ron) Book, Cindy Hantz, Carol Newbauer, Gerry Newbauer and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; Lloyd and Paula; mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Beverly Newbauer and brothers-in-law, Duane Wall, Max Newbauer, and Larry Newbauer.
