Jerry Edwin Mills

Jerry Edwin Mills, 82, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Parkview Randallia Hospice, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Jerry was born to Cleo and Nova Paralee (Phelps) Mills on May 13, 1941, in Montpelier, Ohio. 

He joined the US Air Force and retired as a Tech. Sergeant.  After retirement, Jerry worked as an Arborist.

He married Judith Jane Knutsen on February 13, 1971.

Jerry was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Angola, Indiana and Angola Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his children, Richard (Kim) Mills of Lake City, Florida, Jerry Mills Jr. of Laredo, Texas, Roberta Moody, Sebring, Florida and Janith Mills, Irving, Texas; 12 grandchildren, Jerry (Vanessa) Mills III, James (Diadra) Mills, Janith (Alex) Mills, Elisa Mills, Tarryn Coyle, Craig (Amy) Mills, Kyle (Erin) Mills, Garrett (Tatiana) Mills, Rebekah (Michael) Dorman, Melissa (Charles) Hamilton, Jessica (Kyle) Smith and Julia (Seth) Ramos and 31 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is his sister, Jill (Gary) Curtis of Angola, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Timothy Steven Mills, Son-in-Law, Robert Moody and his siblings, Warren Mills, Ralph Mills, Judith Heist, Jack Mills, James Mills, infant sister Janith Mills and a set of stillborn twins.

Private services will be held in Florida.

His final resting place will be in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
