Jo-Anne Margherita (Carr) Glahn

Jo-Anne Margherita Glahn, 90, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Angola, Indiana.

Jo-Anne was born on April 14, 1934, in her family home at Crooked Lake, Angola, Indiana.  She graduated from Angola High School in 1952.

Jo-Anne had worked in communications for GTE in Angola for 13 years.  Upon marriage, Jo-Anne moved to North Africa and then Saudi Arabia where she worked for Armco Oil Company for 6 years before retiring in 1981.

Jo-Anne attended Fairview Missionary Church in Angola, Indiana.  She was a member of the Angola Moose Lodge Auxiliary, American Red Cross, The Red Hat Society of Angola, and of the Order of Eastern Star in Saudi Arabia.

Jo-Anne was a world traveler and made many friends everywhere she went.

Surviving are her cousins, Susan (Tim) Pepper of Waterford, Michigan, Linda Shough of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Barbara (Greg) Matchette-Harmsen of Angola, Indiana, Kathy (Tom) Madigan of Angola, Indiana, John (Connie) Greenamyer of Angola, Indiana, Janice (Steve) Seacrist of Port Orange, Florida and Sandy Heer of Rock Hill, South Carolina and her sister-in-law, Sandy Wagner of Florida. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Leo Glahn.

Private family graveside services will be held.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Heritage Club, 1905 Wohlert Street, Angola, Indiana 46703.
